The Need for a New Category

Not that you probably care, but my organizational mind (read “perfectionistic tendencies”) has caused me to recategorize my posts slightly. I wrote last week about 3 subjects I will be blogging about: theology, ministry and the HCSB. I want to keep the HCSB as its own main category in my mind, but theology and ministry need to be combined. Theology is the foundation for all ministry, and ministry is the natural outflow of theology.

I’ve wanted to write about some subjects that I had initially labeled as ministry, but I struggled not to categorize them as theology. So, I’ve determined that at the intersection of theology and ministry lies a distinctly Christian culture. And since I believe that a very significant aspect of biblical Christianity is the renewing of culture, I have decided to make “Culture” the third category of articles I will write. So my main topics are: theology/ministry, the HCSB and culture.

There. Doesn’t that make more sense? I knew you were losing sleep about that, too.
